Pootlers Team Retreat swaps with Beautiful Thistle

When this post goes live I will just have returned from meeting lots of my lovely fellow demonstrators at our Pootlers Team Retreat. One of our lovely traditions is to make lots of one project to take along and swap with our friends. I’ve made 40 of these bookmarks as my swap…

I thought that as a proud Scot it would be silly to not use the Beautiful Thistle bundle for my swaps this time around!

My card bases are either Balmy Blue or Petal Pink and measure 6-1/4″ x 2-1/4″ and then I added a layer of Dry Brushed Metallic paper measuring 6″ x 2″. This meant I could get 12 from one sheet of the designer series paper.

I die cut the thistle from Shaded Spruce and Rich Razzleberry card and glued the 3 parts onto the DSP layer.

The sentiment is from Beautiful Thistle and I stamped with Shaded Spruce on Balmy Blue card or with Rich Razzleberry ink on Petal Pink card and cut them with one of the Stylish Shapes dies. I glued this on top of the thistle stem and trimmed off the excess on the right of the bookmark.

I then laminated them all and added a little thistle charm that I sourced from a very well known online retailer.

All that was left to do was to package them all up to pop into my luggage. Thankfully they all fit into an A5 box to keep them safe…

I hope my friends enjoyed receiving these and I can’t wait to share what I received in turn with you all. I’ll do a YouTube video as soon as I can.
