How to make a gift bag with a fun closure with Like An Animal DSP

Hello, I hope you are well.

Today I ‘m attending a crafty retreat with some of the wonderful Pootlers team in Birmingham. As it’s been so long since I met with some of them I thought I’d take some little gifts for a few, in addition to the swaps I’ve made for everyone (more on that in tomorrow’s blog post).

I used up some retired paper for these gift bags for my lovely friends Gez, Jill and Verity…

They have an interesting closure at the top and as I had some more to make I thought I’d record a video to show you how they are made. This time I used the Like An Animal designer series paper.

I’d love you to click on the image below to check out how to make this gift bag and tag…

Or you can watch the video by CLICKING HERE

To make this project you’ll need the following supplies:

  • Like An Animal designer series paper measuring 11-1/2″ x 8″
    • score on the long side at 4″, 5-1/2″, 9-1/2″ and 11″
    • score on the short side at 1-1/2″
  • A scrap of Like An Animal DSP to die cut the letters and reinforcers for the tag
  • Basic White card to die cut the largest tag from Tailor Made Tags dies.
  • ribbon & twine

The finished gift bag measures 6-1/2″ x 4″ x 1-1/2″ so you can get a whole lot of goodies inside. Here’s the one I made in the video…

And here’s the fun closure from the side & back…

I mentioned in my video that I had more gift packages to make and here they all are…

What a great way to use up lots of my lovely designer series papers!!

I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s project and will try it out too.
