Sending you Happy Thoughts

Hello and Merry Christmas to you all.

Christmas can be a difficult time for many people, for all kinds of reasons, and that’s even more likely to be the case this year; when even more of us are separated from friends and family due to the global pandemic. So I wanted to take this opportunity to show you a new stamp set and send you some Happy Thoughts with this card…

And here’s the message inside…

Both of these sentiments come from the Happy Thoughts stamp set that will be available from my online Stampin’ Up! store from 5 January 2021. I love the words and the font on the stamps I’ve used and all the others in this set.

I’ve also used my favourite designer series paper, the Forever Greenery and Forever Gold laser-cut speciality paper, along with the Stitched Rectangle dies. These have been a very regular feature of my paper crafting this year so it’s fitting that they get used for my project for Christmas Day too.

My card base is Whisper White Thick card measuring 21 x 14.5 cm, scored and folded on the long side at 10.5 cm. I cut a piece of Whisper White card to measure 10 x 14 cm and cut the centre from it with a Stitched Rectangle die. I then added a piece of Forever Greenery paper to the back of this ‘frame’.

I used a smaller Stitched Rectangle die to cut the leaf design of the Forever Greenery paper and then cut it diagonally into 3 sections and added them to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I then added that beautiful gold laser cut fern on top.

All of my stamping on this card was done with Pear Pizzaz ink and I again used a Stitched Rectangle die for the ‘Thinking of you’ sentiment on the front of the card. I finished the card off with some of the Gilded Gems.

I hope you like today’s card and however you are spending your Christmas Day that you enjoy it the best you can. Be kind to yourself and everyone around you.

Merry Christmas
