Slightly different Hugs from Shelli

Hello.

As promised in my blog yesterday I’ve been playing around with the Hugs From Shelli Paper Pumpkin kit that is available to Stampin’ Up! customers in the UK, while stocks last.

Here are the cards I shared yesterday, following the instructions for the kit (well almost!)

I saw someone else had coloured the birds nest card so got out my watercolour pencils and gave that a go too…

I also chose to use a smaller label with just the word Hello stamped in Crumb Cake ink. I added some of the twine behind the label and added the little metal swallow embellishment on top.

For the pink flower card I turned it landscape instead of portrait and added a bigger label, some of the Pretty Peacock velvet ribbon and the flower die cuts provided in the kit.

For the Pool Party card I went with a bit less decoration to show off the beautiful design. I stamped the sentiment and flowers in Pool Party ink and used my Wink of Stella to add a bit of colour to the leaves and flowers as well as some sparkle. I tied the pink twine around the front, securing it in a bow .

I changed the orientation of the last card design from landscape to portrait and added a few more splodges of the new 2019-2021 In Color Seaside Spray. I also stamped the feathers in Crumb Cake ink and added a bow made with Linen Thread to the vellum feather (but you could use the twine provided in the kit instead)

All of the stamps, ribbons & other embellishments used are from the Paper Pumpkin kit. I just added in some other colours and Wink Of Stella.

I’ll be back with a Father’s Day card using some of the stamps from this kit tomorrow. I hope you’ll pop back for that.

I’ve listed the products used below. You can click on the links to visit my friend Valerie’s online Stampin’ Up! store if you are interested in purchasing any.

Happy crafting,

Heather x
