Life is sweeter with friends like you

As I mentioned in yesterday’s blog post about the new Delightfully Detailed suite from Stampin’ Up! I love this sentiment…

Life is sweeter with friends like you!

I also love that Mint Macaron is back in the new catalogue, it wasn’t gone for long but I really did miss it.  I’ve paired it with Crumb Cake in today’s card.

The card base is Mint Macaron measuring 29 x 10.5 cm, scored at 14.5cm to form a portrait tent fold card. I added a layer of Crumb Cake card measuring 14 x 10 cm.  My Whisper White panel measures 13.5 x 9.5 cm.

I used the 2 flower stamps from the Detailed With Love stamp set in Crumb Cake and Mint Macaron to cover the Whisper White panel.  You may notice that some of them have been “stamped off” onto a piece of scrap paper first, before I used them on the card, as this gives a softer tone of the same colours and gives a bit more contrast.

The sentiment is from the same stamp set and is in Mint Macaron ink ion Whisper White card, backed with Mint Macaron card.  I added some Burlap Ribbon underneath my sentiment panel, which was added using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I hope this card shows how easy it is to use some of the smaller stamps in our sets to create your very own designer series paper.

Let me know if you have any comments or questions, as I’d love to hear from you!
