Medley Mix sneak peek – hello friend

We are just a few days away from the launch of the September to December 2023 mini catalogue from Stampin’ Up!. So time is running out for sneak peeks! Lol! While I still can, here’s my Medley Mix sneak peek card…

Medley Mix is a new stamp set available in my online shop on 6 September 2023. It’s a lovely set on it’s own but especially when you find out it coordinates with the Inked & Tiled punch pack from the Annual Catalogue. Although I’ve not actually used the punches for today’s card.

To decide on my colour theme I’ve turned to a challenge in The Joy Of Sets Facebook Group. They’ve specifically challenged us to use our least favourite colour and I think Cajun Craze is possibly mine! To be honest, just about the only time I use it and Pumpkin Pie is during Autumn. I also realised that I’ve not used Copper Clay very much so it’s been included too.

To begin, I stamped the circular stamp with flowers and leaves on it with Cajun Craze in the centre and then filled the space with Copper Clay,Pumpkin Pie and more Cajun Craze onto a piece of Very Vanilla card measuring 9 x 13 cm. I then added some Wild Wheat ink over it with a Blending Brush.

The Hello Friend stamp is also from Medley Mix and I used Copper Clay ink onto Very Vanilla card measuring 1.5 x 5 cm and backed it with Copper Clay card measuring 2 x 5.5 cm.

I glued my stamped panel to a piece of Copper Clay card measuring 10 x 14 cm. Before adding this to my card base I added some Burlap ribbon, fixing the ends to the back.

Then I tied on another piece of the same ribbon in a knot and added my sentiment with dimensionals…

The final touch was to add some Copper Clay gems, for a little subtle sparkle.

I hope you like this new stamp set and the colour combination I used with it. Cajun Craze doesn’t look so bad after all!
