Paper Medley gift bag – video

25 May

Hello! I hope you are well. I’m sorry to have been quiet on here and YouTube the past few days. I had some technology issues that have resulted in me buying a new laptop and then trying to figure it all out – it doesn’t get easier as I get older!! Anyway, I think I’ve just about got the hang of editing and watermarking photos, uploading videos and now blog writing on my new toy. So I can share this Paper Medley gift bag with you…

The Paper Medley is an unusual pack of paper as there’s a wide variety of colours in the designs and no particular theme. Instead it has been designed to mix and match with other products on offer. So, I’ve used an ombre design from the paper pack to make today’s gift bag. I also decided to use the Water & Dotted Lines decorative masks to add some extra detail to the paper. For this one, I added the dotted lines with Pretty Peacock ink. The tone on tone ink and paper give a nice subtle effect to this narrow little bag…

And here’s the little treat I popped inside my bag…

As I only used half of the sheet of Paper Medley DSP for the first bag, I decided to make another version in today’s video…

YOUTUBE TUTORIAL

Or if you’re reading this from my email, you can CLICK HERE to pop over to YouTube and check out today’s project video. If you enjoy watching my video, I’d love you to give it a thumbs up and leave me a comment too. If you haven’t already subscribed to my channel, make sure you do so when you’re there; so you don’t miss out on future videos.

Here’s the Paper Medley gift bag I made in today’s video, alongside my original version…

As I used the lighter part of the sheet of DSP, I changed from using Pretty Peacock ink and card to Lost Lagoon instead. As you’ll see, I also changed over to the Water decorative mask from the Dotted Lines.

MEASUREMENTS

To make the gift bag in today’s video you’ll need the following supplies

  • Paper Medley DSP measuring 6″ x 11-1/2″
    • Score on the short side at 1/2″
    • Score on the long side at 5″, 5-1/2″, 10-1/2″ and 11″
  • Coordinating card measuring 1″ x 11-1/2″ (or longer)
  • A tag from the Classic Labels Mix & Match ephemera pack
  • Die cut decorations using the Greenery Lane bundle and washi tape
