Beautiful Ordinary Life card – Touches of Ink Blog Hop May 2026

Today I’m taking part in the Touches of Ink blog hop, so you may have joined me from my lovely friend Janice’s blog. Welcome! This blog hop has no set theme, but instead we get to use any current Stampin’ Up! bundle or suite of products. I decided to make a Beautiful Ordinary Life card for you, using up some scraps of DSP left over from previous projects…

ABOUT MY CARD

The Beautiful Ordinary Life designer series paper has lovely colourful designs on one side of each sheet and then a black and white design on the other side. So I’ve used a combination of both sides of the paper, alternating them across the page. The strips were varying widths so I just added them to a layer of Basic White card with a little gap between each one.

Then I decided to use one of Bordered In Beauty dies to cut my panel with the DSP strips diagonally. I put both of these pieces onto a Basic Black card layer, again leaving a small gap between them.

The Bordered In Beauty stamp set and dies bundle has some lovely little tags that I stamped onto more scraps of the designer series paper with black ink. Then I used the Crafted With Care stamp set to add some extra details to the tags with Pretty Peacock ink…

The little tags were tied together with some black twine and then added to the card layer with dimensionals. Finally this was added to a Flirty Flamingo card base, with a white layer inside, and finished off with some of the Array of Dots embellishments.
