Birthday Celebration slimline card

Hello! I have already been creative with the Wildflower Birthday designer series paper pack (click here if you missed it) but this is my first time playing with the stamps and dies. I hope you like this Birthday Celebration slimline card…

Most of the Wildflower Birthday designer series paper pack is, as you might guess, flowery. But not all of it. I used this Pool Party and Gold paper for a birthday card for a lovely lad I know.

My card base is Pool Party card that measures 21 x 21 cm, scored & folded on one side at 10.5 cm. The DSP layer measures 20.5 x 10 cm. The leftover Pool Party card from my A4 sheet was enough to die cut the decorations for the card. And for extra bling, I used Gold Foil sheet for some small banners and tassels…

The stamping on the large banner die cut was heat embossed with gold powder. I used a small stamp from the Sale-A-Bration stamp set Day To Celebrate to add some gold details to the medium sized banners. To add gold to the Pool Party tassels I pressed the ends onto my Versamark ink pad, added gold embossing powder and heat set them too.

The ‘Birthday’ sentiment was created with a die from Wanted To Say and more gold foil paper.

Finally I added a layer of Basic White card to the inside along with a gold foil piece from the pop outs sheet in the Wildflower Birthday paper pack, cut in two…

And for once, I thought that was enough bling on the card, especially for a young boy.

Now, I must admit that I feel the need to make a pretty pink card with this suite now. So watch this space!
