Subtles Spotlight On Nature card – Touches of Ink Blog Hop May 2024

Today I’m taking part in the Touches of Ink blog hop, so you may have joined me from the lovely Liane Gorny’s blog. We are all using our free choice of bundle or suite from Stampin’ Up! I’ve picked a bundle from the brand new 2024-2025 Annual Catalogue for this subtles Spotlight on Nature card…

ABOUT MY CARD

My card base is Thick Basic White card measuring 5-3/4″ x 11-1/2″, scored and folded at 5-3/4″ on the long side. I cut a piece of Lemon Lolly to measure 5-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ and embossed it with the stunning Dotted Circles 3D folder.

The 3 main images from Spotlight On Nature were stamped with Memento black ink onto Basic White card and then fussy cut. I continued the Subtles colour theme with my Stampin’ Blends. The colours I used were Lemon Lolly, Lost Lagoon, Soft Sea Foam and Fresh Freesia.

Of course I simply had to use the awesome Spotlight On Nature dies too. This set has a total of 12 circle dies, in a selection of sizes with 3 different edges. I used one of each of the designs on this card and splashed each one of them with ink from my Blends too…

The first circle was glued straight to the embossed layer. Then I popped the other 2 up with dimensionals (after stamping the sentiment on one!) This meant I had to partially glue the flowers stem and pop the top part up with dimensionals too.

I felt the need to add some sparkle to the butterfly’s wings with Wink Of Stella…

My final touch was to add some Iridescent Foil Gems for extra bling.
