Snowman Gloves & Popcorn gift idea – tutorial

Hello, I have agreed to take a stall at a few local Christmas craft fairs towards the end of November and into December so I thought I’d better get busy creating some new stock. I’ve seen a number of Snowman Gloves & Popcorn gifts on Pinterest and thought I’d give it a try.

Many of the ones on Pinterest involved printing the wrapper for the popcorn but I didn’t want to do that, I wanted mine to be a bit more handmade than that, lol. I had a stab at one and then decided it needed a few tweaks and recorded a video of me making this one…

Isn’t this a cute little stocking filler? Perfect for giving a pair of cosy gloves and some popcorn to microwave and tuck into while watching your favourite Christmas movie.

YOUTUBE TUTORIAL

I’d love you to click on the image above or if you prefer you can click here to pop over to YouTube. If you enjoy watching my video, I’d love you to give it a thumbs up and leave me a comment too. If you haven’t already subscribed to my channel, make sure you do so when you’re there; so you don’t miss out on future videos.

Here’s the Snowman Gloves & Popcorn gift I made in the video, along with the original one…

I was a little bit concerned that as the gloves are for little children that the googlie eyes might not be a great idea, so I switched them for ones made with card. I’ve used retired dies call All Dressed Up for the buttons and small circle punches that are no longer available too. But I still wanted to share this cute project with you.

MEASUREMENTS

To make the Snowman Gloves & Popcorn gift in the video you’ll need the following supplies:

  • A sheet of A4 Basic White card
    • score on the long side at 3″ and 7-1/2″
    • score on the short side at 1/2″ and 7-1/2″
  • A 2″ circle of Calypso Coral card will make at least 8 carrot noses
  • Basic White card to cut with 1/2″ punch for the eyes
  • Basic Black card to cut with 4/8″ punch for the eyes
  • Basic Black card to die cut the buttons (or cut with 1/2″ circle punch and use white gel pen to draw on the holes)
  • Black & Calypso Coral Stampin’ Write markers & a white gel pen
  • Flirty Flamingo ink and a mini blending brush
  • Ribbon

You’ll obviously need a pack of microwave popcorn and some magic gloves!!

I hope you like this Snowman Gloves & Popcorn gift idea and will give it a go too.
