Dainty Delight thank you card – Creative Colour Challenge 108

Hello! I’m delighted to be back in my craft room after my return from holiday. But I’m rather missing the sunshine and warmth! To get me back in the swing of things, I’ve used the colours from the lastest Creative Colour Challenge to make this Dainty Delight thank you card…

about my card

I must admit that I nearly gave this colour challenge a miss! But seeing the existing entries gave me the inspiration to dig out a favourite stamp set and just give it a go. Dainty Delight has so many lovely line images so I simply stamped the largest with Wild Wheat ink and then the next one down with Soft Sea Foam ink.

I added some Boho Blue ink to a clear block and picked it up with my Wink Of Stella brush to colour some of the largest flowers that I’d stamped with Wild Wheat ink. To add in a bit more Soft Sea Foam, I coloured some of the leaves with Stampin’ Blends.

The sentiment is from Dainty Delight too and is such a lovely thank you! This was stamped with Boho Blue ink straight onto my stamped layer. Before adding this layer to the card base I added some Boho Blue textured ribbon…

Just look at how shiny those flowers are! I think I might have squeezed the Wink Of Stella pen a bit too hard the last time I used it, lol.

measurements

My card base is Basic White Thick card measuring 21 x 14.5 cm, scored and folded on the long side at 10.5 cm. My stamped Basic White layer measures 10 x 14 cm.
