Hello! I hope you are well.
A short while ago one of the lovely ladies in my Nellies Stampers team said that she really liked the combination of Wild Wheat with Night Of Navy. This isn’t a combination that I’d used so far but I just had to check out her recommendation and here’s the result…
I absolutely agree that this is a winning colour combo! Thank you Lorraine.
I used Night of Navy as my card base and added a layer of Wild Wheat DSP from the In Colors 6″ x 6″ paper pack. Before adding the DSP to the card base I added some Night of Navy ribbon.
I used the awesome Circle Sayings stamp set and the coordinating 2-3/8″ circle punch to create the sentiment on Basic White card. I stamped the Sending You A part first and then punched it out. I added the shells at the bottom but there was a little gap between the shells and the sentiment, so I filled it in using the ends of the shells stamp a couple of times. I then stamped the Warm Hello in the centre with Wild Wheat ink.
I used the Stylish Shapes dies to cut circles from Wild Wheat and Night of Navy card and layered the 3 circles together before adding them to my card with dimensionals…
I added a white layer to the inside, with a leftover strip of Night Of Navy card and the same DSP as the front. I love to use little scraps to jazz up the inside of my cards a little.
I hope you like today’s card and will perhaps give it a try too.
