As well as new In Colors for 2023-2025, Stampin’ Up! have refreshed the colour collections and given us some favourite colours back again and a few brand new gorgeous colours like the Lemon Lolly ink I blended in the background of today’s card…
I used the emboss resist technique to make the heat embossed flowers stand out from the ink blended background and then took it a stage further by adding more colour to the flowers and leaves with Watercolor Pencils and a blender pen. I used Daffodil Delight and Granny Apple Green pencils for my first card.
I’ve made a video tutorial to show you this technique, using another new colour.
I’d love you to click on the image below to check it out…

In the video I used Bubble Bath ink blended on the background and then used Flirty Flamingo and Granny Apple Green watercolor pencils and this was the result…
My card base is Basic White Thick card (29 x 10.5 cm, scored & folded at 14.5 cm). I added a Basic Gray layer measuring 10 x 14 cm and my top panel measures 9.5 x 13.5 cm.
I’ve used the emboss resist technique lots but this was the first time I added extra colour and I think it really steps it up. What do you think? Which colour combination is your favourite? I’d love you to leave a comment and let me know.
I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing today’s card and will give this fun technique a try too!
