The Project Share Blog Hop – April 2023 – favourite techniques

Hello everyone.

If you’re a frequent reader, you’ll know that every Thursday I share an awesome project created by my friends Jill, Gez and Verity. Once a month we each create a new project on a theme and link our blogs so you can hop around and see them all.

Our theme for this month is to showcase our favourite techniques.

Once you’ve seen my project please click on the next button below to hop over to see the next fabulous project created by these talented ladies.

I couldn’t decide between heat embossing or the whitewash technique as my favourite so I’ve used them both on this card…

I used versamark ink to stamp one of the Decorative Borders stamps and a sentiment from Sending Smiles onto Basic Black card. I added white embossing powder and then heat set it. For the Decorative Border stamp I coloured the leaves and petals with some White Craft ink before colouring the whole image with Stampin’ Blends.

I added the ‘sending’ die cut in Rich Razzleberry card that I’d cut from the centre of my Rich Razzleberry card layer – waste not, want not!

My final touch was to add some rhinestones coloured with my Rich Razzleberry Stampin’ Blend…

It’s now time to hop round by clicking on the Next button below…

Here’s the full list of blogs in this hop:

  • Jill Chapman – Paper Daisy Crafting – https://www.paperdaisycrafting.co.uk/2023/04/the-project-share-april-blog-hop-my.html
  • Verity Pursglove – Stampin’ with inkybutterfly – http://inkybutterfly.com/?p=12994

  • Gez Carpenter – Nigezza Creates – https://www.nigezza.co.uk/2023/04/the-project-share-april-blog-hop.html

I hope you enjoy seeing what these lovely ladies have created – I can’t wait!

I’ll be back soon with a video tutorial for the techniques I used on today’s card, so I hope you’ll keep an eye out for that.

Beautiful card, Heather. I don’t think I’ve ever tried the whitewash technique – another one to add to the list!
