Penguin Place home decor

Hello, I hope you are well.

Every now and again I like to show that Stampin’ Up! products are not just for cards and scrapbooks; although they are perfect for those too! I created this little home decor item to show during a Stampin’ Up! online bingo event…

I’m pretty sure everyone agreed that this little penguin is SO cute.

The background in the frame is a piece of Smoky Slate card with a layer of Snowflake Specialty Vellum over it.

I used the Penguin Builder punch with Basic Black card for the body, White Glimmer paper for the front and Pumpkin Pie card for his feet. I did try to stamp the eyes on but it didn’t work too well so instead I added some matte black dots. I stamped the beak with Pumpkin Pie ink on Basic White card and fussy cut it. Then I added a little bow tied with the Gingham ribbon.

The penguin was added to the frame with dimensionals and I finally stamped the sentiment with memento ink and trimmed it to fit.

It’s time for Mr Penguin’s close up…

This frame is going to be my favourite festive decoration in my craft room this year! I hope you like it too and might give it a try.
