Cute mini chocolate bunny Easter treat holder

Hello! I hope you are well.

My friend Valerie and I did a live crafting event in our Crafty Scots Corner Facebook Group a couple of days ago. Valerie made a fabulous fun fold card and I made this cute Easter treat holder…

Firstly I made a little tray for the chocolate bunny to sit in. Here are the dimensions:

  • Basic White card measuring 5-1/2″ X 1-3/4″
    • score on the short side at 3/4″
    • score on the long side at 1-1/2″, 2-1/2″, 4″ and 5″

You can replay the Facebook Live to see how to assemble the tray by CLICKING HERE

I used some Pansy Petals designer series paper measuring 2-1/2″ x 8″, scored at 3-1/2″ and 4-1/2″ then used the smallest layering hexagon die from the Beautiful Shapes set to cut the aperture. I made sure the bottom of the hexagon die was a little more than 1/2″ from the first score line on my DSP so the tray doesn’t show from the front.

I made a slit for the ribbon with the Label Me Fancy punch, threaded through Soft Succulent open weave ribbon and tied it with white twine.

I stamped the flowers from Flowers Of Friendship with Pale Papaya ink onto basic white card then cut them with the Flowers and Leaves punch. I stamped the leaves with Soft Succulent ink and punched them out too.

I added a bit more colour to both the flowers and leaves by adding ink to a clear block then picking it up with my Wink Of Stella brush. This gives a soft shimmery look.

I hope you like this easy little project and will give it a try. Why not join our Facebook Group and let us see what you make?
