InspireInk March 2022 Blog hop – Sketch Challenge with Elegantly Said bundle

Hello everyone.

Today I’m taking part in the InspireInk blog hop for March 2022, with my talented team mates. This month I had the pleasure of deciding what our challenge would be. I designed this card sketch (or layout) for everyone to interpret…

I really can’t wait to see what everyone else has done for this challenge. Remember to check out their entries by clicking on the blue box down below.

Here’s the card I made with the stunning Elegantly Said bundle and Simply Elegant designer series paper…

My card base is Basic Gray card measuring 21 x 14.5 cm, scored and folded on the long side at 10.5 cm. I embossed the card front with the Gingham embossing folder and then added the following pieces of DSP:

  • 3 x 13.5 cm
  • 8 x 8 cm
  • 6 x 6 cm
  • 6 x 1.5 cm (behind the sentiment flag)

I also added a piece of embossed gold foil sheet measuring 4.5 x 4.5 cm. I added this to the card with the embossing running in the opposite direction to the card base.

Finally I stamped the flower and sentiment from Elegantly Said with versamark ink, added gold embossing powder and heat set them. I trimmed the sentiment to fit and layered it with some DSP and cut the flower with the Elegant Tag punch. I added some of the Simply Elegant Trim to the tag and popped it on with dimensionals.

It’s time to see what everyone else has created for this challenge. Please click on the button below to see all of the other blogs you can hop around…
