Creative Colour Challenges 26 featuring the Tasteful Touches

Hello, I hope you are well.

I was delighted to win last week’s Creative Colour Challenge that was announced on Sunday evening, thanks to Vickie Lou Designs! The new challenge colours are announced on a Monday morning so I went straight to work with the colours for this week…

Please CLICK HERE to see the striking card that Victoria has created with these colours and hopefully you will join in the fun too.

I used the Tasteful Labels dies the other day and realised that I hadn’t used the Tasteful Touches stamp set for ages! So I’ve used them both for this card…

I actually took my inspiration for this card from page 111 in the May 2021 to April 2022 annual catalogue. I just added in some extra stamping instead of the ephemera pack that was used in the catalogue example. I always find ideas and inspiration from the Stampin’ Up! catalogues!

My card base is Blackberry Bliss card measuring 21 x 14.5 cm, scored & folded on the long side at 10.5 cm to create a landscape tent fold. I cut 2 pieces of Basic White card to each measure 10 x 14 cm, one for the card front and the other for inside.

When I stamped the Sahara Sand ink on the sentiment piece I stamped off onto a scrap of paper first each time so that I got a lighter shade.

I did actually add some Fresh Freesia ink onto the stamped layer with a blending brush but it doesn’t really show up too well in my photographs.

My extra touches were some Fresh Freesia ribbon and In Color jewels. The sentiment was popped up with dimensionals…

We’d love you to join in with these weekly colour challenges. You don’t need a blog, you can simply upload a photograph of your creation to take part.
