Creative Colour Challenges 22 – Eden’s Garden hello

Hello, I hope you are well.

Here’s this week’s colour selection on Vicky Lou Design’s Creative Colour Challenges…

Please CLICK HERE to see the 2 gorgeous cards that Victoria has created with these colours and hopefully you will join in the fun too.

These 3 neutrals colours made me think of using the Eden’s Garden stamp set and the coordinating Eden Dies and here’s the result…

My card base is Soft Sued and I used the edge die on Early Espresso card and attached it to a piece of Crumb Cake card that I’d stamped with each of the 3 colours in the challenge, using the Eden’s Garden stamps. I also used a Blending Brush with Crumb Cake ink on my stamped piece to make it look a bit more ‘vintage’

My sentiment is also from the same stamp set and I used Early Espresso ink on Crumb Cake card. I cut this with one of the Eden Dies and distressed it with some Early Espresso ink and a blending brush. I also used the same die to cut some Soft Suede card and glued the 2 pieces together at an angle.

I added some Linen Thread to my stamped layer before I added it to the card base and added the sentiment over it with dimensionals…

I tucked in a couple of other die cuts in Early Espresso and Soft Suede card too. My final touch was to add Very Vanilla card to the inside that I’d stamped with Soft Suede ink…

Using 3 browns is a bit of a departure from the norm for me, but that’s what these challenges are all about. I’m sure I’m not the only one that needs a little nudge out of my crafting comfort zone every now and then!

If you feel the same, why not join in with these weekly colour challenges? You don’t need a blog, you can simply upload a photograph of your creation to take part.
