Hello, I hope you are well.
I love this week’s colour selection on Vicky Lou Design’s Creative Colour Challenges…
Please CLICK HERE to see the fabulous card Victoria has created with these colours and hopefully you will join in the fun too.
I thought the Highland Heather and Blackberry Bliss would work for flowers and the Just Jade for leaves then took a look at the stamps I’ve not inked up recently and selected Art Gallery for the task. Here’s the resulting card…
I made my usual card base from Basic White Thick card measuring 21 x 14.5 cm, scored & folded on the long side at 10.5cm. I then blended some Blackberry Bliss and Highland Heather inks lightly onto the card front with one of the Plenty Of Patterns decorative masks and my blending brushes.
I stamped the background of the flower onto Basic White card with Highland Heather ink and used Blackberry Bliss for the second layer stamp. I used Just Jade for the stem.
I trimmed the stamped piece to measure 6 x 10 cm and cut a piece of Blackberry Bliss card to measure 6.5 x 10.5 cm with the intention of matting them together but I like the way they looked offset so changed my mind!
The sentiment was stamped with Highland Heather and I added some of Pastel Pearls for my final touch…
I like the effect of the ink blending straight onto the card base and hope you do too.
What will you make with these 3 colours? We really would love you to join in, you don’t need a blog, you can simply upload a photograph of your creation.
