Forever Fern for a Friend

Hello.

The Forever Friend stamp set and Forever Flourishing dies are one of the staples in my craft room and I’ve used them so many times but never get tired of them. To liven them up a little bit I’ve used two of the new 2021-2023 In Colors, Soft Succulent & Evening Evergreen, and one of the 2020-2022 In Colours, Just Jade, for the first time…

The lovely Soft Succulent gingham paper is from the Pansy Petals designer series paper pack and is perfect for a subtle but colourful background.

My card base is Basic White card that measures 21 x 14.5 cm; scored and folded on the long side at 10.5 cm to create a landscape tent fold. I cut a piece of the Pansy Petals DSP to measure 10 x 14 cm and added the Evening Evergreen open weave ribbon across it; securing the ends on the back.

I stamped my selected leaves with Soft Succulent, Evening Evergreen and Just Jade inks before cutting them with the corresponding dies.

My sentiment is stamped in Just Jade ink and then cut with one of the Layering Circles dies. I used a slightly larger scalloped die from the set to cut a piece of Evening Evergreen card and glued the two together. I arranged my leaves and another piece of ribbon on the card and then added the circles on top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I just had to add some of the 2021-2023 In Color jewels to finish it off.

I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s card. It’s fun to mix up old favourite stamps with new colours!
