#simplestamping Sunday featuring Color & Contour

Hello, I hope you are well.

I’m using a brand new stamp set from the Stampin’ Up! 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue that launches on 4 May 2021; it’s called Color & Contour.

It’s a beautiful floral set with gorgeous sentiments and here’s the result of my first play with it…

Aren’t these images pretty? This stamp set coordinates with a new set of dies called Scalloped Contours but I wanted to show you what you can do with just the stamps, 2 ink pads and some Basic White card.

To make this card I used the following

• Basic White thick card measuring 10.5 x 29 cm. scored and folded at 14.5 cm to create a tent fold card base
• Basic White card to measuring 9.5 x 13.5 cm, stamped randomly with the flower outline using Highland Heather ink and then the dots stamp with the same ink
• Basic White card measuring 5 x 9 cm, stamped with the floral stem image using Tuxedo Black Memento ink and then with the infill stamp using Highland Heather ink
• Basic White card measuring 4 x 3 cm stamped with the sentiment using Memento ink

There a small bud stamp in the set and I actually added that to my stem too for a little extra detail.

I didn’t add any of the layers with dimensionals to keep it nice and simple…

I think it’s good to remind ourselves just what we can create with just card, stamps and ink. What simple stamping will you do today?
