Hello.
I have been encouraged by my lovely friend Verity to take part in the latest Inspire.Create.Challenge which is to make a card inspired by this gorgeous one created by Jo Blackman…
You can see what the design team (including the lovely Verity) have made by CLICKING HERE
And here’s my version…
I absolutely love that you can use up scraps of your designer series paper for this design. I chopped my paper into tiles that measure 1-1/2″ x 1/2″. The Artistry Blooms paper has so many different tones that all work so well together.
I’ve made the following video to show you show to put this card together…
Here are the dimensions I used for my card:
- Magenta Madness card measuring 21 x 14.5 cm, scored and folded on the long side at 10.5 cm
- Basic White card insert measuring 10 x 14 cm
- Rich Razzleberry card layer measuring 10 x 14 cm
- Rich Razzleberry card for the parquet section that measured 14 x 5.5cm but was later trimmed down to 13.5 x 5 cm
- Rich Razzleberry card to cut with the Tailored Tag punch
As I mentioned in the video and above, I made my ’tiles’ of Artistry Blooms paper measure 1/2″ x 1-1/2″ – sorry for mixing metric and imperial but I’m equally comfortable with both and often forget which I’m using, lol.
I stamped the sentiment from A Good Man with Rich Razzleberry ink onto another piece of the Artistry Blooms paper then cut it with the Tailored Tag Punch. I backed this with a Rich Razzleberry one, cut in half then added it over the ribbon with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added the bow with mini glue dots.
I’ve listed all of the products I used for this card below. You can click on any of the product links to be directed to that item in my online shop.
