Oval Occasions bookmark

Hello!

Even although I read books on my Kindle these days, I do still use bookmarks. I use them to mark my favourite recipes in cook books and to keep my place in my diary and notebooks. So when Stampin’ Up! release a new catalogue I like to use some of the new papers to create a bookmark or two. I also like to gift them so for this one I thought I’d use it as a nice reminder for a friend…

Isn’t that a lovely sentiment? I really like the fonts used in the new Oval Occasions stamp set.

I cut a piece of Night of Navy card to measure 2″ x 6″ and a piece of Paper Blooms designer series paper to measure 1-3/4″ x 5-3/4″. I used my Detailed Trio punch to round all 4 corners of each piece before layering them together. I used thee Trio punch to make the slot at the top for the ribbon. I used the Night of Navy ribbon from the Playing With Patterns ribbon combo.

The Paper Blooms paper is FREE during Sale-A-Bration if your order is £45 or more, before P&P. Who doesn’t like FREE?

I stamped the sentiment with Night of Navy ink onto Seaside Spray card and cut it with the Double Oval punch. This punch pairs perfectly with the Oval Occasions stamp set. You can buy them separately but if you buy them as a bundle then you’ll save 10%. I’ve shown both option in my product list below.

I used the Rococo Rose and Pretty Peacock Stampin’ Write markers to colour the little flowers and leaves in the stamp. I used the punch to cut another large oval from Night of Navy card, cut it in half and glued the pieces to the back of the stamped one to extend it a little.

I have listed all of the products I used for today’s project below. You can click on any of the links to visit my online Stampin’ Up! shop.

Please remember to use the current Host Code when you shop with me, so that I can send you an extra gift in your customer thank you pack. See the Host Code page for more info.
