A Christmas treat using the Stampin’ Up! round tins

Hello! I hope you are well.

Today I’ve got a quick and easy idea for small Christmas gifts or treats for your friends, family and neighbours. I’ve decorated one of the round tins that you can find in the August to December 2020 mini catalogue…

I’ve filled this with chocolates but I’ll warn you, they hold a lot!! The tins are approximately 3-3/4 inches in diameter and 1-1/4 inches deep, come in a pack of 4 and are food safe.

I decided not to completely obscure the window in the lid of the box so that you get a peek at the goodies inside…

To decorate the side of the tin I cut a length of the Trimming The Town designer series paper that measures 1″ x 12″. This is actually a little bit short of the circumference of the circle so I added an extra 1/2″ to the length using tear & tape on the back which meant I had a bit of an overlap instead. I made sure to cover the join with my Real Red Double Stitched satin ribbon though. I adhered the paper with tear & tape along the full length.

I used the Tasteful Labels to cut a piece of Real Red card and embossed it with the Winter Snow embossing folder. I tucked this one under the tied ribbon. The next label is cut from the Trimming The Town paper and I added that on top with Stampin’ Dimensional either side of the ribbon. The sentiment is from Itty Bitty Christmas and I stamped with Real Red ink onto a scrap of Whisper White card and cut with another of the Tasteful Labels dies. Finally I added some red rhinestones.

These tins would be great for all sorts of gifts. I’d love to hear what you’d put in them in the comments below.
