InspireInk October 2020 Blog hop – Sketch Challenge

Hello everyone.

Today I’m taking part in the InspireInk blog hop for October 2020. This month we’ve all been given this sketch to work with…

I decided to use this sketch to have a little break from Christmas crafting and pull out some of my favourite but recently neglected products from the annual catalogue to create this card…

I used the In Good Taste suite, including 3 of the 24 different designs from the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack. This paper pack gives you SO many amazing photographic images of wood, tile, stone, and other elements to work with and is great for both card making and scrapbooking.

This paper pack is also discounted by 15% if you buy it before 31st October 2020, just in case you needed another excuse to buy it!

My card base is Night of Navy card measuring 21 x 14.5 cm, scored and folded on the long side at 10.5 cm to create a landscape tent fold. I added a layer of DSP measuring 10 x 14 cm.

I cut another tile design from the paper pack with a die from the Tasteful Labels set and added this to my card. I cut a strip from a third design from the pack and cut the end with my Banner Pick A Punch and layered that onto the card too.

I used the Tasteful Touches stamp set with Night of Navy ink onto Whisper White card to create the sentiment. I cut this with one of the Tasteful Labels dies and embossed it with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder. I also used this embossing folder on the edges of my Whisper White insert for the card, to carry the textural theme there too..

My sentiment is popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals and I added some blue gems from the Holiday Rhinestones pack for a bit of bling. I just thought the card needed a little something more so I stamped the feather from the Tasteful Touches stamp set, again with Night of Navy ink and then fussy cut it and added that with Stampin’ Dimensionals too.

I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing my interpretation of this sketch and are ready to see what my talented team mates have done with it too. Please click on the blue box below to get the links to all the other blogs taking part in today’s hop…
