Happy Haunting – heat embossed Hallowe’en card

Hello everyone.

I don’t think I’ve ever made a Hallowe’en card before! I’ve made Hallowe’en gifts for co-workers, friends, family and guisers (trick or treat visitors if you’re not Scottish! Lol) but never cards.

So here’s my first one….

I’ve used the new Banner Year bundle to make this card. The stamp set ha stamps for Christmas, Thanksgiving and Valentines as well as Hallowe’en and the Banners Pick A Punch gives you 6 options for creating banners. The products can be purchased separately but if you buy them as a bundle you save 10%.

I made my card base with Basic Gray card measuring 29 x 10.5 cm, scored and folded at 14.5 cm to create a tent fold card. I cut a piece of Basic Black and Whisper White card to each measure 10 x 14 cm.

I stamped the Basic Black piece with the cobweb stamp using Versamark ink, added Silver Stampin’ Emboss powder and heat set it.

I cut a piece of Silver Metallic Edged ribbon and coloured it with my Basic Black Stampin’ Blend markers. I used the marker to also colour one of the Square Vellum Doillies and 3 of the larger pearl gems.

I stamped the sentiment onto Basic Gray card with Versamark ink and then Memento ink, added clear Stampin’ Emboss powder and heat set that. I trimmed the card to fit and cut each end with the Banners Pick A Punch. I also punched both ends of a 1″ wide piece of Basic Black card to add to the back of the grey one.

I also stamped the bat with Memento and heat set it with clear Stampin’ Emboss and then fussy cut it. I added it to the banner and then added the banner to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the Whisper White layer with Memento ink and added it to the inside of the card…

I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing my first Hallowe’en card as much as I enjoyed making it!

I’ve listed the products I used for today’s card below. You can click on any of the links to visit my online Stampin’ Up! shop at any time.

Happy crafting,

Heather x
