Tasteful Touches heat embossed card

Hello and thanks for joining me.

I love heat embossing! I used clear heat embossing on yesterday’s card with watercoloring and I’ve used silver on today’s card and it’s the star of the show in my opinion…

I just love the shine it gives, but you still get a lot of the detail from the feathers too…

I started today’s card with a piece of Night Of Navy card measuring 29 x 10.5 cm, scored and folded at 14.5 cm. I stamped the front of the card base with the foliage stamp from Tasteful Touches with Night of Navy ink.

I stamped the 2 feathers with Versamark ink onto Shimmery White card, added the silver Stampin’ Emboss powder and heat set it. I masked part of the ‘Just saying hello’ stamp then inked it up with Versamark and embossed that the same way as the feathers. I cut all 3 images with a Stitched Rectangle die.

I used Stitched Rectangle dies on another piece of Night of Navy card as a background for the 3 embossed images and then used the same die along with a larger one on Silver Foil to create a frame. The double stitching you get by using the 2 dies together is awesome!

My final touch on the card front was a little bow made with the Night of Navy ribbon from the Playing With Patterns ribbon combo pack that I added with a mini glue dot.

I cut a piece of Very Vanilla card for the inside of the card, to measure 10 x 14 cm, and stamped it with another of the Tasteful Touches stamps with Night of Navy ink in the corners…

I do hope you’ve enjoyed my card today.

Spoiler Alert!! I’ve enjoyed heat embossing so much that I’ve done it with gold and white too – you’ll see 2 more heat embossed cards from me in the next week.

Until then, I’ve listed the products I’ve used for today’s card below. You can click on any of the links to visit my online Stampin’ Up! shop.

Happy crafting,
