Today’s card started off with me playing around with my new Water Painters and some Fluid 100 watercolour paper. I used the smaller flower and the leaves from the Band Together stamp set and stamped them onto the watercolour paper with Versamark ink, added clear Stampin’ Emboss powder and heat set it before watercolouring…
I used a combination of So Saffron and Daffodil Delight inks for the flowers and Pear Pizzaz for the leaves. I just played around with the amount of water to ink for the leaves to get the two tone effect. I cut the leaves using the corresponding die from the Detailed Bands set and I fussy cut the flowers with my paper snips.
My card base is Gray Granite card measure 21 x 14.5 cm, scored and folded on the long side at 10.5 cm. I added a layer of Basic Gray card measuring 13 x 9 cm and a piece of Very Vanilla measuring 12.5 x 8.5 cm.
I cut the gorgeous filigree shape and band from the Detailed Bands die set, using more Gray Granite card then added my flowers and leaves.
The sentiment from Band Together was stamped with Basic Gray ink onto Very Vanilla card and cut with the oval die from Detailed Bands. I added this with some Stampin’ Dimensionals….
I must say that I really like that the new Water Painters come as a set of 3 and the smallest one is awesome for the finer details. I can’t wait to have another play with the wide brush now.
