Today’s card is dedicated to all of you carers out there, to thank you for all that you do in our communities to keep the most vulnerable as safe as possible in these difficult times…
The professional carers I have known in my life have always had my upmost admiration. For them caring is a vocation, rather than a job simply to pay the bills. Right now, they are heroes who are putting their lives at risk to care for our loved ones. Thank you for all that you do!
I chose to use Perennial Essence designer series paper with it’s soft tones and it’s strong colours and combined 2 designs from the pack for my card.
My card base is Whisper White Thick card measuring 29 x 10.5 cm, scored and folded at 14.5 cm. I added a piece of Blackberry Bliss card measuring 10.2 x 14.2 cm and my first piece of Perennial Essence designer series paper measuring 10 x 14 cm.
I cut another piece of Blackberry Bliss card to measure 7.3 x 9.3 cm and Perennial Essence designer series paper measuring 7 x 9 cm and glued them together. This means that this layer has a slightly larger border of the Blackberry Bliss card showing for contrast.
I coloured some of the Silver Metallic Edged ribbon with my Blackberry Bliss Stampin’ Write marker and allowed it to dry before I tied it around my panel with a double knot. I then added this to the card base.
I also used my Blackberry Bliss Stampin’ Write marker to ink up the ‘Thank You for Caring’ stamp from the Label Me Pretty stamp set, avoiding the circular design around the outside.
I used the Layering Squares dies to cut the sentiment and used a slightly larger one to cut more Blackberry Bliss card to back the sentiment. I added this to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I also added 3 dark blue gems from the Holiday Rhinestones pack…
I hope you have enjoyed today’s project.
