Hello.
I’m taking part in another sketch challenge over in the Stampin’ For All Facebook Group. Here’s the layout we were given on Monday…
And here is my card…
I’ve used the Around The Corner stamp set for all of my stamping on this card. I reckon this is quite an underrated set but is pretty versatile. I aim to use it more to show its potential.
I used Very Vanilla card for my base and then added a layer of Woven Threads designer series paper to cover the entire front.
I stamped the parallel lines stamp multiple times randomly on a piece of Very Vanilla card stock with Versamark ink, added Copper Stampin’ Emboss powder and heat set it. I then cut my piece into 1 inch wide strips to add to my card base.
I also stamped the 3 square images onto Very Vanilla card and cut them with the smallest square from the Stitched Shapes dies. This is slightly bigger than the 1 inch square suggested in the sketch.
I cut a piece of Sahara Sand card to add my squares to. Before I did that I inked the edges with Versamark, added Copper Stampin’ Emboss powder and heat set that. Versamark isn’t just for stamps, lol.
I wanted to use one of the sentiments from Around The Corner but a corner stamp didn’t really fit in with this sketch so I masked off part of the stamp that says “celebrate every tiny victory” and only stamped the word “celebrate” onto my Sahara Sand panel. Again I used Copper Stampin’ Emboss powder.
Finally I added 3 copper Star Designer Elements for even more shine…
I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s card. You still have time if you want to join in with this sketch challenge – just for fun.
I would love to see what you create.
I’ve listed the products I’ve used below. You can click on any of the links to visit my online Stampin’ Up! store to shop with me. I would be delighted to be your independent demonstrator.
Happy crafting,
Heather x
