The lovely Tricia Smith of www.smithscraftycreations.com set a challenge in her Facebook group “Crafty Stampin’ Club – Smith’s Crafty Creations” for us to create projects using White on White. We are allowed to use colour stamping and embellishments though.
One of the many reasons I love Stampin’ Up! products is the colour coordination between card, ink, paper, ribbon etc so this challenge is a step out of my comfort zone. Here’s what I created…
The photo doesn’t really show all the detail so I’ll describe it.
I made a standard A6 card base from Whisper White Thick card. I then cut a piece of Whisper White card to measure 9 x 14 cm and embossed it with the Scripty 3D embossing folder and then split it into three 3 inch wide panels. I cut the ends with my Triple Banner Punch.
I cut another piece of Whisper White card with one of the Detailed Bands dies and added this across the middle of the card. I stamped the sentiment from the coordinating Band Together stamp set in Gorgeous Grape ink onto Whisper White card. I then cut this with the oval die from the same set.
I added the sentiment to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I added 3 pretty little pearls to the card for an extra little detail.
I hope you like this card as much as I do. It just goes to show that it’s good to be creatively challenged every so often.
