Daisy gift bag

Hello!

Today’s project is a little gift bag in the style of a handbag…

It’s a nice little size for a gift such as this lip balm tin…

To make this I started with a piece of Garden Green card measuring 6 x 4 & 1/2 inches. On the short side, score at 1 and 3 & 1/2 inches. On the long side score at 2 & 1/2 and 3 & 1/2 inches. Cut as shown below…

Add glue to the middle tabs and fold inwards…

Cut another piece of Garden Green card for the handle to measure 8 inches by 7/8ths of an inch. Add a piece of Garden Lane designer series paper measuring 3/4 of an inch on top of your strip of card and then glue the ends to the sides of the box…

Add glue to the side panels of the front of the box and fold them up to cover the ends of the handle. This means your handle will be really strong.

Then wrap the base of the bag with a piece of Garden Lane designer series paper that measures 7 & 1/4 inches by 2 & 3/8 inches making sure that the overlap is at the back.

Cut another piece of Garden Green card for the flap to measure 2 & 3/8 inches by 4 inches. This is scored on the long side at 1″ and 2″ and cut at the other end with an oval from the Stitched Shapes die as shown below (my pencil line is at 3 inches)…

Remember to rub out your pencil line!

I also rounded the corners on the back of the flap. Glue the first panel to the back and add a velcro dot to keep the flap closed.

I stamped the smaller daisy from Daisy Lane 4 times in Soft Sea Foam ink onto Whisper White card and cut it with the Medium Daisy punch and glued them all together. I stamped the larger daisy from the same set in Daffodil Delight ink and used my 1/2 inch punch to cut the centre out and added it to my punched daisies.

The Daisy Lane stamp set and Medium Daisy punch are available to buy as a bundle, saving you 10% on the cost of buying them separately. I’ve provided a link to the bundle, along with the other products I’ve used below.

Happy crafting,
