Hello!
Today’s project just makes me long for brighter and warmer weather and seeing beautiful flowers in the sun…
In the run up to Christmas I made SO many milk carton style boxes for candles, chocolates etc to sell at craft fairs that I think I sickened myself, as this is the first one I’ve made since then. It will always be my favourite style of box though.
For this version I used So Saffron card (part of the Subtles range) and Garden Impressions designer series paper and I think they compliment the Yankee Candle I chose pretty well, don’t you? You can view my previous instructions for a Christmas version of this box by clicking here.
To decorate this one I simply stamped the Thank You sentiment from the A Big Thank You stamp set in Night of Navy ink onto So Saffron card. I used my Layering Circle to cut this out, along with a Night of Navy scalloped circle that is just a fraction larger. I glued both together an then onto the front of the box.
I used Night of Navy medium baker’s twine to thread through the holes in the top of the box and tied it in a bow to close the box nice and tightly. I thought it needed a bit more though so I punched a few flowers from scraps of card using the Bitty Blooms punches. I added some to the box and enclosed each end of the twine between two of them too…
This would make a nice little thank you gift from all sorts of reason, I’m already thinking ahead to end of term Teacher Gifts – all crafters have to plan well ahead, lol.
I hope you’ve today’s project, if you have any comments or questions on it I’d love to hear from you. You can comment below or you can use the Contact Me form in the main menu to get in touch.
