So glad we are friends & Happiness Blooms

Hello and thanks for joining me today. I’d like to share this bright and colourful card I made recently. Making this fair cheered me up and I hope that when I surprise a friend with it sometime, it will make them smile too!

I absolutely love the Happiness Blooms designer series paper, so much so that I’ve just had to order more of it! It’s one of those packs of paper where the designs are so varied but I really like them all. In some packs there’s normally 1 pattern that I’m not that keen on but not with this one so I can see myself using every little scrap of it – I like to get my money’s worth, lol.

I used a Night of Navy card base that measures 21 x 14.5 cm, scored and folded on the long side at 10.5 cm. I added a layer of the FREE Sale-A-Bration Lovely Lipstick foil card that measures 9.5 x 13.5 cm and then then Happiness Blooms designer series paper measuring 8.5 x 12.5 cm This gives a larger border on each layer than I normally have, but I like it.

I stamped the sentiment So Glad We Are Friends from the Incredible Like You stamp set in Night of Navy ink onto Pineapple Punch card to coordinate with the paper. I used my 2 inch punch on the sentiment and my Starburst punch on Night of Navy card to back it. I added this straight onto the dsp layer and finished it off with a bow tied from Night of Navy medium bakers twine. The bow is added with a mini glue dot.

I like the contrast between the dark Night of Navy, bright Pineapple Punch and shiny Lovely Lipstick foil. Do you? I’d love to hear from you.
