Hello and thanks for being patient as today’s blog post is way later than normal – assuming you noticed, lol.
Today I’d like to share a card I made to take part in a just for fun challenge over in the Stampin’ For All Facebook Group. Ian Potter set the challenge this week to use the following card layout…
So, I started with a Whisper White card base, cut to 11 x 4 & 1/4 inches, scored and folded at 5 & 1/2 inches.
Although I used the dimensions for the horizontal pieces I changed the order of them and put the larger one at the top. Here’s the result…
I used panels of Balmy Blue paper from the Subtles 6 x 6 inch designer series paper pack. I then stamped those adorable little feet from the First Steps stamp set in Balmy Blue ink onto Whisper White card measuring 2 & 1/4 by 5 & 1/4 inches, backed with some Balmy Blue card to meet the measurement from the sketch.
Finally I stamped the sentiment from First Steps in Balmy Blue ink onto a scrap of Whisper White card and used one of my new Rectangle Stitched framelits dies. I guaranteed I’ll get my money’s worth from the dies as they’re so versatile! I added the sentiment to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I’ll be honest and admit that this sketch didn’t really wow me at first but I absolutely adore the finished card. I just wish I knew someone that’s had a little baby boy to send it to!
I’d love to see your versions of this card if you’re willing to join the group’s challenge. Just head over to Stampin’ For All and ask to join if you’re not already in the group. You don’t need to use Stampin’ Up! products to join in.
If you do want to buy any of the products I’ve used in today’s card then I’ve listed them below and you can click on them to visit my online Stampin’ Up! shop.
Happy crafting,
Heather x
