Hello! Thanks for joining me today.
I love the vibrant 2018-2020 In Colors and decided that I wanted to make a super bright Birthday Card using them. Although I opted to exclude Lovely Lipstick so the card may be a bit more suitable for a boy.
I also decided to use 2 stamp sets that are predominately floral. So I used this lot…

To create this card…

With not a flower in sight! Lol.
My card base is Blueberry Bushel card measuring 21 x 14.5cm, scored and folded on the long edge at 10.5 cm. I added a layer of Grapefruit Grove card measuring 10 x 14 cm.
I cut a piece of Whisper White card to 13.5 x 9.5 cm and used the large circle from the Bloom By Bloom stamp set with Grapefruit Grove, Blueberry Bushel, Pineapple Punch and Call Me Clover inks. I also used the stamp with the collection of little dots from the same set in the same inks randomly. I added this layer to my card.
I stamped the large Happy Birthday from Perennial Birthday in Blueberry Bushel ink onto Whisper White card, trimmed it to size and backed it with some Call Me Clover card before adding it to my card.
This is #simplestamping as you really don’t have to take much care when stamping your random background. Just make sure you clean your stamps each time you change your colours. The Simply Shammy makes this quick and easy.
I added a piece of Whisper White to the inside of the card too and a stamped more dots in the bottom corner and this sentiment from Perennial Birthday…

I rather like the effect and the fact that I’ve managed to make a fairly gender neutral card with flower stamp sets. It just goes to prove that these sets are even more versatile that you might have thought.
I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s card and will give it a go with your favourite colour combinations. There are so many to choose from! I’ve listed the products I’ve used below and you can click on any of them to visit my online Stampin’ Up! shop. As you can buy the card and inks in the In Colors in packs I’ve included the links for these too.
Remember that if your order qualifies then you can choose free products during the Sale-A-Bration period…

Please let me know if you have any comments on this project, the products used or about Sale-A-Bration. I’d love to help.
Happy crafting,
