Hello! I hope you are well.
I’m trying really hard to get myself prepared for my upcoming Christmas craft fairs and shopping events. One thing that I know sells well for me is my gift card holders. Let’s face it, gift cards make our Christmas shopping so much easier! However, I like to make it look like I’ve made more of an effort by putting the gift card in a specially made holder like this one…
To make these I started off with a piece of Night of Navy card that measures 3 x * & 1/4 inches (so you can get 3 from a piece of A4 card). This was scored and folded at 2 & 1/2 inches then 6 & 1/4 inches. Put a thin line of liquid glue along the sides of the 2 inch panel to form the pocket for the gift card.
To decorate the holder I cut 2 panels of Whisper White card for each holder that measure 1 & 3/4 inches by 2 & 3/4 inches and 2 & 1/4 inches by 2 & 3/4 inches. Each panel was stamped with Balmy Blue and Night of Navy inks using the Beautiful Blizzard stamp set. I just randomly stamped so that each panel is unique – just like snowflakes!
To keep the gift card holder closed I decided to add a belly band. Again I used Night of Navy card and this time it measures 1 inch by 6 & 3/4 inches, scored and folded at 1 inch and at 4 and 1/8th inches. I stamped the Season’s Greetings and the little snow flurries in Versamark ink, added White Stampin’ Emboss powder and heat set it. This works really well against the navy card. When you add the belly band to the holder again use a liquid glue and make sure it’s not too tight that you can’t slide it off and on again.
I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s project. I’ve listed all of the products I’ve used below. You can click on any of the products to visit my online Stampin’ Up! shop. I’d be delighted to be your independent Stampin’ Up! demonstrator.
Happy crafting,
Heather x
