Big On Birthdays – au natural

The beautiful stamp set Big On Birthdays is retiring soon – boo!

This set has a fabulous mix of big and small birthday related stamps and I’ve used all but one of them.  I’ve not yet found an appropriate occasion for a stamp that reads “At least you’re still pretty” LOL.

I used one of the big stamps in today’s card and kept the colour scheme natural and subtle…

My card base is Very Vanilla, measuring 21 x 14.5cm, scored at 10.5cm to form a landscape tent fold card.  I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment in Crumb Cake ink on Very Vanilla card measuring 8 x 12cm and used Watercolor Pencils in Melon Mambo and Old Olive to colour in the flowers and leaves.  I used a Blender Pen to soften the colouring.  Then I added a little bit of Wink Of Stella to add some shimmer to the flowers and a few leaves.

I mounted my stamped panel on Powder Pink card measuring 8.5 x 12.5 cm.  Before adding this panel to my card with Stampin’ Dimensionals, I added some Burlap Ribbon to the card with some Fast Fuse in the middle.  The final touch was a powder pink Bitty Bow.

I hope you like this feminine birthday card.  If you’d like to purchase any of the products I used, before some retire on 31st May 2018 then please click on the links below.
