Large Letters & short names make personalised projects so much easier!
My niece celebrated her 10th birthday yesterday and we had a lovely lunch at TGI Fridays, with the obligatory birthday song & free cake! Lol
Her name is Isla so I was able to use the Large Letters Framelits dies to put her name on this card…
The base of the card measured 21 x 14.5 cm and was scored at 10.5cm to make a landscape tent fold card.
I cut her name out of the Powder Pink card and also cut extra letters from Whisper White. I used the flowers and leaves stamps from Happy Birthday Gorgeous to decorate the bottom portions of the Whisper White letters. The inks I used were Berry Burst, Flirty Flamingo, Melon Mambo & Old Olive. I used a Blender pen and Wink of Stella to softly colour the flowers without adding any more ink.
I embossed the Powder Pink card, measuring 10 x 14cm, in the Oh My Stars Textured Impressions embossing folder to add another dimension to the project.
I glued the Powder Pink layer onto my card base and then glued in each letter & the ‘space’ from the A that I’ve saved when I did my die cutting – phew!
I stamped the Happy Birthday from Perennial Birthday stamp set in Berry Burst on Whisper White card. I sponged the edges of the Whisper White with Powder Pink ink so soften it a little, before mounting it on a scrap of Berry Burst card.
The final touch was a Bitty Bow in Powder Pink.
I hope you like this card as much as my niece did. I’ve listed the products used below. You can visit my Stampin’ Up! shop by clicking on any of the products. Anyone who shops with me during April will receive a Thank You gift and a free copy of the next Annual Catalogue that launches in June (as soon as I have them!).
If you’d like any of the current catalogues just let me know and I can pop them in the post to you.
Happy crafting,
Heather x
