The Stampin’ Up! UK Demonstrators facebook group has a Wednesday challenge each week and we’re now on challenge number 7; which is this sketch…
Sketch challenges are great for when you just want to craft and not really think too much about it! You’ve already got the layout for your card you just need to decide on colours, papers and stamps. I haven’t used Tasteful Touches stamp set for a while so that was one other decision taken care of!
The result was this card…
I made my card base with Bumblebee card measuring 21 x 14.5 cm, scored and folded on the long side at 10.5 cm. I then added a piece of Magic In This Night designer series paper that measures 13 x 9 cm to give a nice sized border showing.
I stamped the flower from the set with Memento ink onto Bumblebee card and fussy cut it. I also added some Wink of Stella to the centre of the flower for some extra sparkle…
I stamped the feather with Memento ink onto Smoky Slate card and fussy cut that too. I used the Sprig punch on both Smoky Slate and Bumblebee card to add into my arrangement.
The sentiment is also from the Tasteful Touches stamp set and I used Bumblebee ink onto Smoky Slate card and trimmed it to fit.
Both the sentiment and the flower were added with Stampin’ Dimensionals…
The little extras of ribbon and enamel dots just step it up a little bit.
I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s card, which is a new colour combination for me I think!
