Be Inspired by the Stampin’ Up! annual catalogue

Hello.

I mentioned in my blog post yesterday that sketch challenges can be a great way to kick start your crafting mojo and today I’ve got another suggestion for you. Take a closer look at your Stampin’ Up! annual catalogue for more inspiration on how to use your products.

This card is a great example…

This is NOT my creation. This card is actually shown on the inside cover of the catalogue, just above the suites index on page 1.

It uses products from the Ornate Garden suite that is featured on pages 64 to 67 of the catalogue. So if you have these products you may well go to these pages for inspiration and might have missed the other example on page 1.

To make this card the Stampin’ Up! designer has used Just Jade card for their base and added an additional panel that was embossed with one of the Meadow Moments embossing folders. You might also have noticed that they’ve added white ink onto the raised parts of the embossing folder so that it transferred onto the embossed panel of card. This is a fun but maybe messy technique!

They have used the Ornate Layers dies to create that beautiful centrepiece and stamped the beautiful floral image from the Ornate Style stamp set with Just Jade ink onto Whisper White card, that has been cut to fit into the frame.

The sentiment is from the Ornate Thanks stamp set and has been heat embossed with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder onto Crumb Cake card trimmed to fit.

The twine comes from the Playful Pets Trim Combo and they’ve also added 3 of the gorgeous Elegant Faceted Gems to that perfect final touch.

I hope this has inspired you to take a closer look at some more of the project examples in the catalogue and try them out. I’ve listed the products used in today’s card below. You can click on any of the links to visit my online Stampin’ Up! shop at any time.

Happy crafting,
