Woven Threads Sympathy card

Hello everyone.

Unfortunately, I’ve had occasion to send out a few sympathy cards recently to friends that have sadly lost loved ones. Here’s one of my recent designs…

Nobody likes to send or receive this type of card but a nice card at the right time can be a comfort. This sentiment from the Woven Heirlooms stamp set is beautiful, both the words themselves and the way they’re written.

My card base is Pretty Peacock card measuring 29 x 10.5 cm, scored and folded at 14.5 cm.

I cut a piece of Woven Threads designer series paper for the front measuring 10 x 14 cm. Before adding it to my card base I added some reversible Old Olive/Pretty Peacock ribbon across the middle and secured the ends on the back.

I stamped the sentiment in Pretty Peacock ink on to Whisper White card and cut it with a Stitched So Sweetly die. I used another die from the set to cut a piece of beautiful Noble Peacock Speciality designer series paper. I added the larger one to the card front and then added vellum cut with the Sprig Punch and the retiring Leaf Punch and finally added the stamped die cut on top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I cut a piece of Whisper White card for the inside of the card to measure 10 x 14 cm and stamped the corners with the little flourish stamp from the Woven Heirlooms set with Pretty Peacock ink. I also stamped the left side with the longest stamp from the set…
