Hello.
I had a stall at a craft fair in a high school today and was delighted to be asked if I had any bookmarks – not because I had some, but because it reminded me that not everyone uses electronic readers these days.
As I have another school fair next week I thought I’d make a few bookmarks in case I’m asked again and here are my first ones…
I love the sentiment from the New Wonders stamp set that says “Each new page reveals a new wonder to be experienced” Isn’t that just perfect for a bookmark?
However, the fairy stamps in that set might not to be to everyone’s taste so I’ve also used the more gender and age neutral Follow Your Art designer series paper.
I chose Pacific Point card for my base and cut it to 6 x 2 inches and used my Scalloped Tag Topper punch on one end. I added my paper that measures 1 & 3/4 inches by 5 & 1/8 inches.
I stamped the sentiment in Pacific Point ink onto Whisper White card and cut it with the Timeless Label punch. I used the same punch on some more Pacific Point card, cut it in half and added it to the back of the stamped one.
I added a couple of the felt elements from the Follow Your Art embellishment kit.
I threaded some Silver Metallic Edge ribbon through the tag top and used the linen thread from the Follow Your Art embellishment kit to keep it in place.
Even if they don’t all sell next week I can find a home for one in the lovely journal a friend gave me for my birthday.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this quick project. I’ve listed the products I’ve used below and you can click on any of the links to visit my online Stampin’ Up! shop.
I would love to be your independent demonstrator.
Happy crafting,
Heather x
