This card was a special commission from a friend currently soaking up the sun while living in Goa; meanwhile his Mum & Dad celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary in a very cold Scotland. But hopefully this card from their thoughtful son brightened their day….
I used a Very Vanilla card base with a layer of the super shiny Gold Foil paper on top. I then added another layer of Very Vanilla card that I die cut using the awesome Detailed Floral Thinlets. These dies make it spectacularly easy to make a card with the wow factor. I used the larger of the 2 dies twice on my panel.
All I needed to do then was add my greeting. I didn’t have suitable stamps in coordinating fonts so I cheated and generated my greeting on my computer and printed it out on Very Vanilla card. I cut it out using an oval Stitched Shape die and used the largest oval one to cut a panel in Gold Foil. I added a length of Gold edged ribbon and attached my greeting using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
As a very special touch, my friend had sent me a handwritten note for me to add to the inside of this card for his parents.
It seriously gives me a warm glow to be able to play a small part in such wonderful family celebrations.
