Rooted In Nature sketch challenge card

Hello.

Today’s project is a card I made for a sketch challenge set by the talented Tricia Smith in her “Crafty Stamping Club – Smiths Crafty Creations” Facebook group. Here’s the sketch she designed for us…

And here’s the card I created using the Rooted In Nature stamp set with the coordinating Nature’s Roots dies…

I tried to keep my design simple so stamped the sentiment directly onto my Very Vanilla card base, using Terracotta Tile ink.

I used Grapefruit Grove and Pumpkin Pie ink to stamp the skeleton leaves onto a piece of Very Vanilla card that I trimmed down to 7 x 5 cm and added to the card base. I then added a piece of Pumpkin Pie card that measures 14.5 x 3 cm down the side of the card.

I stamped the other leaves onto Very Vanilla card using Pumpkin Pie, Terracotta Tile, Calypso Coral and Grapefruit Grove inks and then cut them with the matching die.

I like the way they replace the hexagons in the sketch and look like they’re tumbling downwards.
