Scalloped Blooms card – The Project Share Blog Hop

May 2, 2026

2 May

Hello and welcome to the May 2026 Project Share Project blog hop. Our fabulous little group of independent Stampin’ Up! demonstrators regularly share each others projects and also create a new project for a monthly Blog Hop. Our theme this month is Bright & Bold. So I’ve created this Scalloped Blooms card…

ABOUT MY PROJECT

The Scalloped Blooms bundle will be available from 5 May 2026. The dies feature a set of 7 scalloped circles plus another 7 other dies. I used the largest die to create a Poppy Parade card base. To achieve this you need to make sure the top of the die overhangs the fold on your card base – there’s a photo of this later in the blog. Then I glued another one of the largest dies on top followed by ever decreasing ones in Azure Afternoon and Basic White card. I love the bold lines on this card and of course the bright colours!

The Scalloped Blooms dies have a mix of plan and stitched edges, that alternate by size, as you can see from this photo…

The sentiment is from the Scalloped Blooms stamp set. And the flowers are from another new bundle available from 5 May 2026 called Heirloom Boutique.

I also stamped another sentiment from Scalloped Blooms with Azure Afternoon ink on the inside…

Measurements

To make this Scalloped Blooms card you’ll need the following supplies:

  • Poppy Parade card for the card base measuring 10″ x 5-1/2″
    • score on the long side at 5″
    • cut with the largest Scalloped Blooms die as shown in the photo below
  • Poppy Parade card to die cut with the largest Scalloped Blooms die (approx 5-1/2″ x 5-1/2″
  • Two pieces of Basic White card approx 4-1/2″ x 4-1/2″ to die cut with the 2nd largest Scalloped Blooms die
  • Azure Afternoon card approx 4″ x 4″ to die cut with the next Scalloped Blooms die down
  • Basic White card approx 3-1/2″ x 3-1/2″ to die cut with the 4th largest Scalloped Blooms die
  • Basic White card to stamp and die cut the flowers (using the Heirloom Boutique bundle)
  • Embellishments (I coloured rhinestones with Stampin’ Blends)

This is how I lined up the die to create the card base…

You need to make sure the die overhangs the folded line on your card base, so that you keep the front and back joined together. But that gives you a strange looking straight line at the top. To hide that, I added another piece of Poppy Parade card cut with the same die to the card front. You can now only see the join on the back of the card…
