I don’t often do ‘fancy fold’ cards but I’ve been experimenting a bit more recently and stretching out of my crafting comfort zone. Today I’d like to show you a U shaped card…
I made this so that it would still fit into a C6 envelope…
I used Whisper White thick card measuring 21.5 cm by 10.5 cm. On the long side I scored at 3cm, 6cm, 14.5cm and 17.5 cm and added Designer Series Paper (DSP) panels measuring 2.5 cm by 10 cm to each of the 4 sections of the card base. I then cut another piece of Whisper White card to measure 14.5 cm by 3 cm to put along the front. The DSP panel for this part measures 14 cm by 2.5 cm.
To make sure I got the glue in the right place I measured 1 cm and 4 cm from the bottom on each side panel, added my glue between my marks and then added the front panel to the left hand side then folded it over so that the panel would reach the end of the right hand side.
I used the fabulous Share What You Love speciality designer series paper, isn’t it gorgeous?
I then chose to use the Petal Palette stamp set and Petals & More dies which are retiring on 3 June 2019.. I cut the flower pieces from Rich Razzleberry card and I used Rich Razzleberry ink for my stamping onto Whisper White card. The ‘From The Heart’ was cut with one of the Petals & More dies too, it’s such a versatile set.
I cut the main sentiment with my 2 inch circle punch and backed this with a Starburst punch using the reverse of the DSP I used.
The final touch was to add the 2 hearts that I punched from Rich Razzleberry card using the Dog Builder punch.
