Hello. Did you know that Teacher Appreciation week is the first week in May? Well, you do now. I’ve made a thank you card suitable for a female teacher…

This was a great excuse to play with my Stampin’ Blends, too many to mention! I used the stamp set Hand Delivered, which can only be ‘bought’ with Stampin’ Rewards – let me know if you want to know more.
I stamped using Memento ink onto Whisper White card. I used my Stamparatus so that I could line up the stack of books with the waistband for her skirt and not leave a strange gap between them.
I did think about colouring her skirt but decided to try paper piecing instead. I stamped the skirt image onto a piece of Garden Impressions designer series paper and used my snips to cut it out and glue over my stamped image. I then used a Stitched Rectangle die to cut out my stamped image. I used the same rectangle and the next larger one to create a frame from Melon Mambo card.
My card base is also Melon Mambo card, measuring 21 x 14.5 cm, scored and folded on the long side at 10.5 cm to create a standard side opening card. I then added a layer of the same paper as I used for her skirt, measuring 10 x 14 cm.
The sentiment was created using 2 of the stamps from Hand Delivered; the Thank You one and the Miss You one. I used washi tape to mask the word You, inked my stamp, removed the tape and stamped the word Thank. I then repeated this to mask the word Thank and stamp You and finally with the next stamp to mask the word You and stamp the word Miss. I then cut this with another Rectangle Stitched die.
I decided that the apple needed a little bit of shimmer and added some Wink Of Stella to it.
I added a panel of Whisper White to the inside of the card that I’d stamped with the little cluster of flowers from the same stamp set, coloured with Stampin’ Blends again…

This was a fun card to make, although not a quick one. I hope you like it.
I’ve listed the products used below (just a sample of the Blends!) and you can click on any of the links to visit my online store.
Happy crafting,

As soon as it retires I’m going to be keeping an eye out for that Stamp Set in the resale market. I think your lovely card showcases it beautifully x
